Lots of my quit smoking hypnosis clients tell me they hate the self-conscious feeling around their mouth, breath and scent. They’ll run a ritual of cleansing in order to feel comfortable getting close to someone–first they must remove the stink of smoking that sticks to them, their hair, their clothes, and in particular, their breath. Goodbye, spontaneity. Shower, shampoo, breath mints, mouthwash, and so on.
They even have a name for it: “smoker’s breath.” Not sexy. Not attractive.
Removing this and the shenanigans necessitated by it for face to face communication or intimacy is another big motivation for quit smoking. Luckily, there’s an easy fix for stopping smoking. Hypnosis!
